Amazing environment and interactions!!! The selection of music was incredible and the cat was so cute!

However i would like the rain part to not end so quickly... I wandered off a bit and it stopped.

Good job!

I really enjoyed exploring your virtual office! The space feels so cozy, the big windows are beautiful, and the nature outside the house adds such a calming atmosphere. The little interactions like changing the music or hearing the tuxedo cat purr make everything feel alive.

A tiny note from the playthrough is that coming back in from outside felt a little tricky so I had to wait a moment before entering. Also, when I got close to Yuki, I sometimes ended up standing on the table. Other than that, it was a lovely and relaxing experience.

Congrats!!!

Thanks for playing my experience and giving your feedback!  I plan on incorporating your suggestions on a revised version of the experience.

Lovely experience!! I especially loved the selection of paintings and relevant info (had no idea Toulouse-Lautrec had produced this kind of piece!). The mood was set so well, everything played a role in constructing a calming ambience perfect for relaxing, pondering, and working in peace--and when you want to take a break, you can chill with Yuki (loved her) or go outside and take in the serenity of the surrounding forest (the onset of rain also fit the mood perfectly)...

Only extra thing I would love, would be if the camera focused on the paintings when interacting with them so we could better take them in. All in all, dreamy and immersive !!

Thanks for spending time to play my experience. I am really glad you found everything cohesive and mood-setting. I will totally keep in mind your recommendations for the next updated version.

Such a cozy environment! I really enjoyed the fact that I could explore the forest outside the room. I turned on the music player inside, then walked into the forest while it was raining. It was so immersive, it really took me away. The addition of the cat and its purring was the perfect touch of coziness!

One thing I’d like to mention: I found the room a bit cramped, and the camera navigation was a little tricky. There were several points where I couldn’t move freely as the player and kept colliding with obstacles. This made it difficult to interact with the PC from the chair at the desk. Also, I couldn’t turn the light on/off using the switch while looking at the lamp to trigger the interaction.

Thanks for playing my experience, I am really glad you found it interesting, immersive and cozy, that was exactly the mood I was going for.

I totally agree with your comments, the room is indeed a bit cramped. The revised version will be a lot more spacious. As far as the light switch, it toggles the main ceiling light, not the floor lamp. So you have to look at the light switch in order to interact. Maybe the two light objects should not have been so close to each other, to avoid such confusion. I will definitely keep that in mind.

Things I enjoyed: Clear highlights for object interactions, functional and complete experience. Interesting content: the text for the paintings, the jukebox song curation. Well executed visual assets: the cat audiovisual animation, the rain vfx!

Things I had difficulty with: The door should not have a (not-trigger) collider because it's pushing the character out again when re-entering from outside :) The "Click to interact" text display should hide after the interaction is enabled/while the content text is open, because now they overlap and are hard to read when looking at the painting. When there are UI elements (e.g. close button), the camera control with mouse should be temporarily disabled. Similarly, the permanent UI element (i) does not work well with a first person approach, consider substituting it with a button press (e.g. escape keyboard).

Ideas: Consider adding the painting and song sources to the credits, and adding a url hyperlink on the paintings to redirect to museum or Wikipedia entries. Nice choice adding reload as a button option in the menu - would make more impact if there was user progress with a closing to the story.  FPS display is useful for testing but I don't think it offered me much as an end-user.

Very well done!  🐈‍⬛🌧️ With the addition of a few "binding" elements to move from a sandbox to a narrative approach, this would be a perfect sample for the M110 individual assignment.  Great idea adding your github repo!

Thanks for the constructive and on-point feedback.

Just a quick clarification: the permanent UI element (i) can also be toggled by pressing the [i] key. It was my way of solving the issue of the button not working well in a first-person approach, but maybe this interaction wasn’t as clear to the end user as I expected.

I plan to incorporate your recommendations in a revised version of the project.  🐈‍⬛
